Ford Focus SVT vs Eagle rods

Last Updated on July 23, 2024 by Mutiara

Although the stock SVT rod (left) is well made, the Eagle rod (right) is much stronger and lighter, due to its H-beam construction, superior materials and ARP series 2000 3/8 rod bolts.

The stock SVT rod is of a forged I-beam steel design with a pressed piston pin and is generally reliable up to 360+hp.

The Eagle Rod is of a 4340 forged chrome moly steel H-beam design with ARP series 2000 3/8 rod bolts, a bronze bushed floating pin and is reliable up to 900+hp.

It would be good to note since upgrading the trouble prone rods bolts from 5/16 to ARP series 2000 3/8 bolts these rods are rated as 900hp capable By Eagle.
