Spinner Cooler

Geer Technologies Spinner Cooler is a new Spinning Intercooler (patent pending). The Spinner-Cooler works by using the airflow of an engine’s turbo or supercharger to propel a small turbine fan connected to an assembly made up of evenly spaced tubes. Thus when the bundle of tubes rotate through the ambient air, the tubes rapidly release heat and cool the air passing through the tubes.
Specs:
- Dimensions: 24.5″ X 6.5″ X 6.5″
- Weight: 14 pounds.
- The Spinner Cooler can rotate up to 25,000 RPMs, seal over 150 PSI and operate in temperatures of 400F.
- The Procharger P1SC seen in the pictures has a 9lb pulley. The P1SC is capable of 1200 cfm, 825 hp and 30 lb of boost.
The prototype bearings are not finalized and additional rotation is expected. Testing the prototype revealed that the Spinner Cooler showed a 31% increase in cooling efficiency from the time it took the outlet temperature to drop from 170F to 110F when compared to a popular front mount intercooler with an even greater surface area. Currently undergoing research and development, the Spinner Cooler will be available for purchase soon. Several styles, colors, and sizes will be available to chose from. Videos of the unit in operation can be found on Geer Technologies home page.
