Stock Zetec rods have been used on builds with an excess of 270+hp, the ceiling for these rods is generally placed at 280hp. A safe operating range on stock Zetec rods would be 240-250hp with the rod bolts upgraded to with a set form ARP.
The Focus SVT forged steel connecting rods have been used on build in excess of 360+hp. The ceiling for the SVT connecting Rods are generally placed at 380 hp. A safe operating range on Focus SVT rods would be 350hp with the rod bolts upgraded to with a set form ARP.
The Eagle 4340 forged connecting rod has been used in builds in excess of 600hp once the rods bolts were upgraded to ARP Series 2000 3/8 rod bolts. These rods have a ceiling limit of 900hp set by the manufacturer.
