1. Remove the luggage compartment latch cover bolt.
2. Remove the luggage compartment latch cover.
   1. Remove the screw.
   2. Remove the pin-type retainer.
   3. Remove the luggage compartment latch cover.
3. Disconnect the luggage compartment door ajar switch.
   1. Separate the luggage compartment door ajar switch electrical connector from the luggage compartment door.
   2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
4. Disconnect the luggage compartment remote release motor.
   1. Separate the luggage compartment remote release motor electrical connector from the luggage compartment door.
   2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
5. Disconnect the luggage compartment lock actuator rod from bellcrank.
6. Remove the luggage compartment door latch.
   1. Remove the bolts.
   2. Remove the luggage compartment door latch.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
