The Ford Escort, 1991-2003 (including ZX2) is based off of the Mazda BG chassis. This being the case, many parts from 323 / Protege (90-94), Mazda MX-3 (92-96), Escort / Tracer (91-03 incl. ZX2), Kia Sephia (94-97) will interchange. This is especially the case when it comes to any drivetrain or suspension components. The vehicles also share a lot in common as far as wiring, ignition, interior, and etc. Bell housings are also interchangeable.
